National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Partners with Sports Performance Leader, Orreco
~NBPA will use Orreco’s unparalleled science-driven solutions to optimize player performance and reduce the number of playing days lost to illness~
NEW YORK, NY, July 17, 2019 – The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) has signed a multi-year exclusive agreement with leading sports data, biomarker and performance company, Orreco, to make Orreco the NBPA’s official bio-analytics provider.
Under the partnership, which is the first of its kind in the industry, Orreco, a global leader in bio-analytics, will provide expert consultancy to the NBPA, the union for current professional basketball players in the National BasketballAssociation (NBA).
The consultancy service will focus on athlete blood testing to support and accelerate NBPA members’ recovery in order to optimize their performance and health. An immediate goal is to keep more players available on the court throughout the season by reducing the number of games lost due to illness.
